...we would rather you donate to charity.
We are very fortunate to have had access to clean water, food, shelter, education, healthcare, and job opportunities throughout our lives, in a world where millions of people still struggle to have those very basic needs met. In addition, we are increasingly concerned with this past century's explosive population and consumption growth, which has put a strain on our planet's ability to cope.
Rather than asking for more material goods for ourselves - which we do not need - we would prefer that our guests use any money earmarked towards a gift, to donate to a selection of charities supporting causes we both care about deeply. We are grateful for your donations!
